Trayvion Joaquin Scott, 25, of Fremont, Ohio, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance in connection with his role in a drug trafficking organization operating since at least 2015 in Picayune, Mississippi.

Court records reveal that Scott primarily facilitated drug payments for the organization through Walmart-to-Walmart money transfers.

Scott’s sentencing is scheduled for March 28, 2024, with a potential prison term of up to twenty years. The sentencing decision rests with a federal district judge, who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Brad L. Byerley of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Erica Rose prosecuting it.
