Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for James Edward Williams, Sr., 59, of Picayune, Mississippi who passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Elder Victor will officiate at the service. Rev. Donald Parker is the Pastor.
James was born in Picayune, Mississippi on March 10, 1959 to Carolyn L. Williams and the Edward Williams, Jr. (Red Jr.). He was educated at Redford High School in Detroit, Michigan. His most recent employment was Limousine Chauffeur for Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. James was a very friendly, outgoing person who enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
On June 4, 1995, James united in holy matrimony with Earline Taylor. This union was blessed with a combined family that included seven children.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: His loving wife of 23 plus years, Earline Williams; children, James Williams, Jr. (Man) and Ebony N. Williams, as well as Tarshardaro “Shay”, Dedricky, Deriana “Big Dip” Magee, and Dreashund Magee; Siblings, Frederick Lee Williams, Yolanda Williams, Banetta Williams-Payne, Natia Williams, Cindy “Latrice” Williams, Lashonda Williams, Jessie Patton, and Betty Sue Robinson; four granddaughters, seven grandsons; a very dear/close friend, Curtis Charles Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tayniasha Magee; his father, Edward Williams, Jr. (Red Jr.); two brothers, Arnold P. Williams and Willie Jenkins; maternal grandparents, Louise Pearson and Howard Wash, Sr.; Paternal grandparents, Ophia Lee Johnson, Rufus Johnson, and Edward Williams, Sr.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery.
