Memorial graveside funeral services for Lola Carole Sapp, 69, will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Catahoula Baptist Cemetery.
Burial will be in Catahoula Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Carl Heberg will officiate the service.
L. Carole Short Sapp from Picayune, Miss. passed away at her home on January 16, 2017.  She was the daughter of Carl B. and Lexye W. (Wheelis) Short. Born in Kansas City, Mo. and raised in Liberty, Mo., she was a 1965 graduate of Liberty High School and attended Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Miss. and William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo.
She moved to Bay St. Louis, Miss. in 1995 from New York City. She owned Gifts by the Bay in Bay St. Louis and was a member of The Krewe of Nerieds serving as a Maid in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lexye Short; sister, Lexye Short Adams.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Sapp Sr. of Picayune, Mississippi; her daughters, Rebecca Wood (Mrs. Clay Wood) of Fernandina Beach, Fla. and Jennifer Huber (Mrs. Ken Huber) of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; six grandchildren, Nicholas Wood, Jackson Wood, Lexye Wood, David Chirco, Samantha (Daddona) Hernandez, Alison Mansfield; great-grandson, Christopher Hernandez; nieces, Lexye Adams Shockley (Mrs, David Shockley) of Guyton, Ga. and Leigh Anne Adams Jones (Mrs. Trevor Jones) of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Carl Short of Yardley, Pa.
