Sara Autrey Bray

Sara Autrey Bray, age 76, of Carriere, Miss., passed away Friday, November 25, 2016.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Picayune.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Picayune.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.  Reverend Harold Manning will officiate the service.
Born in Montgomery, Ala., she lived in Richmond, Virginia for over twenty years before retiring to Carriere.  She was an Officer of Crestar Bank, a Registrar of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Picayune, the Picayune Garden Club, and the Newcomer’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John William Autrey and Lois Ivy Lassiter Autrey.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 56 wonderful years, James (Jim) Oliver Bray; sons, Richard Brent Bray and wife Janet, Kemp Alexander Bray and wife Casey; grandchildren, Mason Connor Bray and Sydney Grace Bray; sisters, Linda A. Gamble and husband Dewitt, Diane A. Mann and husband Michael.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children’s Playground Fund at First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 148, Picayune, Miss. 39466 (601-798-4321), or the charity of your choice, in memory of Sara.
