Services for Palacie C. Walls Strickland, 57, of Picayune, will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.  Rev. Gregory Walls, Sr. will officiate at the service, Rev. Donald Parker is pastor.
Palacie was born on October 2, 1958  in Picayune, MS to Arthur Walls, Sr. and the late Margiel Langham.  She attended G.W. Carver Schools and Picayune Memorial High School.
Palacie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. E. L. Fox.  More recently, she attended Newness of Life Worship Center.  Her previous employment includes, factory work, food service worker at Stennis Space Center.
Palacie ended her earthly walk to begin her heavenly existence on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, MS.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Margiel Walls; one brother, Brenton Craig Walls; and one son, Young Strickland III.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Palacie Walls and Margiel Jackson, both of Picayune, MS;
one son, Corteze Strickland, of St. Augustine, FL; her father, Arthur Walls, Sr., of Picayune; four brothers, Rev. Gregory (Laurnese) Walls, Sr. of Picayune, Arthur “Itchy Coe”
Walls, Jr., of Miami, FL, Ronnie (Taeko) Walls, Sr., of Japan, and Elliot (Randi) Magee, of Ohio; three grandchildren, Corteze Strickland, Jr., Hannah N. Walls, and Brenley Johns; a special friend, Jerry Ross, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.   Interment will be in Picayune  Cemetery.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
