Early Saturday morning, 39-year-old David Samuel Lightell of Picayune was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Hancock County.
Trooper First Class Chase Elkins, Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer for Troop K, said the accident occurred at 1:04 a.m. on Highway 43, about two miles north of Highway 603.
A group of several motorcycle were headed northbound when one 2013 Harley Davidson left the road to the right and struck the embankment of a driveway, Elkins said.
Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk said Lightell died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, Elkins said.
