Finding one’s soul mate

Dear Stella,
I am 19 years old and found the girl of my dreams, or so I thought. We have been dating for six months and have been talking about moving in together. From the first time I saw her, I knew that we would have a connection. I just found out that she has been cheating on me and I am devastated. I pictured us as a couple in the movies, living happily ever after. I would like to think that there is still someone out there for me. I guess my question is “Do you believe in soul mates?”

Dear Looking,
As I would do for any specific question, I get the definition of what the subject matter means. In the past, Webster’s Dictionary, then Wikipedia, today…Google App!
Apparently, a “soul mate” is a matter of opinion of the person looking for a matching mate. I even found one person that believes his soul mate should love all Star Wars movies, characters, and memorabilia….good luck with that one! In my opinion, instead of finding someone that you can live with, find someone that you can’t live without.
The bottom line is that I believe finding a true soul mate has about the same odds as winning the Lottery.
Come to think about it…I know someone who won the lottery and then found his soul mate…or was she?
