A Poplarville woman died in a single-vehicle accident on Monday morning.

At 9:38 a.m. a 1998 Honda CRV veered off the roadway on Highway 43 in Poplarville, approximately one mile north of Highway 26, overturned and collided with a tree, Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Benjamin Seibert said.

The driver was identified as 42-year-old Daphne E. Dyson of Poplarville, Deputy Coroner Dempsey Seals said.

Seibert said she was unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle. The accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol and the Pearl River County Coroner’s Office, Seibert said.
