Funeral Services for Cecil Oswald Seal Sr., age 95, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2014 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Nicholson, Miss., he was a retired Major in the U. S. Marine Corps with thirty years of service. Cecil was a forty plus year member of the Picayune Noon Lions Club where he held many honors. He was a Realtor with Thigpen Reality for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He received many awards as a pistol sharpshooter and helped organize the annual National competition in Ohio for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jabez Bingham Seal and Mary Miranda Mitchell Seal; son, Marvin Edwin Seal; granddaughter, Kelli Renee Seal; sister, Elva Ruth Perkins; and brother, George Edwin Seal and wife Gwen.
Survivors include his two sons, Cecil “Butch” Seal Jr. and wife Linda, Robert “Bing” Seal and wife Becky; daughter-in-law, Cathy Seal; four grandsons, Payne Seal, Kenneth Seal and wife Ingrid, Matthew Seal and wife Valerie, David Seal and wife Dena; two great grandsons, Elijah and Hayden Seal; brother-in-law, Clyde Perkins, two nephews, Van Perkins, Mike Seal, two nieces, Deborah Reed and Cynthia Cole.
