I, Virgil C. “Kent” Dunn, am announcing my candidacy for District 2 Supervisor of Pearl River County. I hope to have your support during the special election on Nov. 2.
I am 49 years old and a life-long resident of the Springhill community in Pearl River County. My wife, Kay (Reid) Dunn, and I have been married for 29 years. We are proud parents of our son Clint and daughter Amanda who are also residents of Pearl River County. We also are blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, our grandson Cameron and our granddaughter Julianna. My wife and I are members of College Heights Baptist Church in Poplarville.
I am employed by Delta World Tire of Picayune and have been with the company for the past 12 years. I am an experienced manager and have been in this position with Delta World Tire for the past 8 years. Prior to working for Delta World Tire, I was employed by Dea’s Tire where I worked for 10 years.
I am seeking the position of supervisor of District 2 as a Republican candidate. I am for property owner rights, less government, and more citizen rights. I plan to better represent the people of Pearl River County by taking into account your views, opinions and needs. I can not and will not make any promises to get your vote. However, I will do what’s fair and just for all of the residents of the county. I welcome your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to represent you, your needs, your opinions and your rights.
I want to thank you for taking your time to consider your options before voting in the upcoming election. I hope that I earn your vote and am given the opportunity to represent you as District 2 Supervisor. Please remember to vote “Virgil “Kent” Dunn on Nov. 2.
