John Dow Dudley Sr., 66 of Mesquite, Nev., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.  He was born August 6, 1944, in New York, N.Y., to O.A. and Dolly Dudley.

John Attended Norview High School in Norfolk, Va., and served in the U.S. Navy.  He retired from Rockwell International, and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by: his sons, John D. Dudley, Jr. of Arvada, Colo., and Ken Smith of Carriere; a daughter, Jennifer Knuesel of Castle Rock, Colo.; a sister, Dr. Jo Ann Dudley Poston of Lexington, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Morgan and Katherine Knuesel of Castle Rock, Kenny and Heather Smith of Covington, La., Morgan Blanch and Grayson Smith of Carriere, and Paolo Prades of Jacksonsville, Fla.
