Tropical Storm Igor update

TROPICAL WEATHER — Tropical Storm Igor was at 14.7N, 24.8W at 10 a.m. CDT Thursday with winds of 40 mph moving north-northwest at 6 mph with some strengthening and an increase in forward speed forecast as it turns west-northwest during the next 48 hours. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a weak area of low pressure near the Windward Islands are showing some signs of organization. Some development is forecast as the low moves west and there is a 40 percent chance the system will become a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. (Map courtesy of NOAA)
