Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield’s plan to keep the bad guys in jail will soon come to fruition, at least on a trial basis.
The Adams County Board of Supervisors voted to allow a trial for video arraignment equipment, which would provide a televised feed between the Adams County Justice Court and the county jail.
Mayfield said PTS Solutions, a company specializing in software for law enforcement agencies, will set up the equipment for a 30-day trial period at no cost.
Mayfield said the sheriff’s office has the money to purchase the equipment, based on early estimates of $3,000 to $4,000.
