A 17-year-old Columbia High School student has been arrested and charged as an adult after allegedly sending a text-message bomb threat to one of her teachers.
Columbia Police Chief Jim Kinslow said authorities tracked down Kellsey Davis after she allegedly used a program on her iPod Touch to send a text message to one of her teachers which alluded to the threat of a bomb at the school.
After Davis was taken in for questioning on Thursday, she admitted to sending the message and was then arrested.
According to Kinslow, Davis will be charged as an adult for making a bomb threat and causing a panic, which is a felony.
