Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church for Jordan Daniel Byrd, 22, of Carriere who passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Carriere.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tim Mims and the Rev. Randall Childs will officiate at the service.

A native of Carriere, he was a Student. Jordi was a loving son, grandson, brother, and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill McCaskell.

Survivors include: his mother, Lisa Ann McCaskell Daughdrill and husband David of Picayune; his father, Kenneth W. Byrd and wife Heidi of Saco, Maine; his brother, Justin Wade Byrd of Hattiesburg, Miss.; his sister, Rhiannon Wright Dunhurst of Picayune; his step-sisters, Sarah Daughdrill Burch of Jackson, Miss., and Rebecca Daughdrill of Tucson, Ariz., his step-brother, Joshua Daughdrill of Picayune; his grandparents, Bonnie McCaskell Wiggins and husband Paul and Jeff and Bobbie Byrd of Picayune; his close friend, Ashton Lowery; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was held Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, and also Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 11 a.m. until service time at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
