Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church for Gerald Dean Grubbs, Sr., 72, of Picayune, who passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at his residence in Picayune.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tim Mims and the Rev. Phillip Caples will officiate at the service.

A native of Union County, Miss., he was a Manager in Food Industry Sales and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who will profoundly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Gaston Grubbs and Flora Woods Grubbs; two brothers, Franklin Grubbs and Lethal Grubbs; and two sisters, Francis Windham and Zelma Weatherford.

Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Charlotte White Grubbs of Picayune; his son, Geri Grubbs and wife Laurin of Picayune; his granddaughters, Gena Hunter and husband Jacob of Picayune and Jacey Barajas and husband Juan of Picayune; his great-grandsons, Jaxon Hunter and Cruz Hunter; his sisters-in-law, Helen Grubbs of New Albany, Miss., and Mary Adams of Tupelo, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home and also Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. service time at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
