A Harrison County jury has convicted 20-year-old Larry Minter of two counts of capital murder in the 2006 shooting deaths of two people at a Gulfport home.
The jury was to begin deliberations late Friday on a sentence. Prosecutors were seeking the death penalty.
Minter also was convicted on a robbery charge but was acquitted of sexual battery.
Prosecutors said Minter was the gunman in the shootings of 54-year-old Harold “Bucky” Levron and 38-year-old Christine Suber. They were found dead after a burglary at Levron’s home.
Minter was one of four people charged in the case. Two have pleaded guilty and a third is awaiting trial.
