Taking a break?

Students from three out-of-state colleges took the time to travel to Pearl River County to help build two Habitat for Humanity homes. More than 75 students from all three colleges toiled as they installed walls, and conducted other labor intensive projects. Two of the groups were in the area for about a week and one took the time to help with other community needs, such as the Special Olympics event. All the groups were expected to head home at the end of this weekend. Students take a break as they wait for more projects to tackle during this week’s effort to complete more work on two Habitat for Humanity homes on South Haugh Avenue. Once complete there will be about eight Habitat homes in that area, providing homes to less fortunate families at an affordable price. (Photo by Jeremy Pittari)
