Madie L. Temple, 76, of Picayune passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupleo, Miss.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Coaltown Cemetery in Purvis, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27 from 1-2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Madie, a native of Laurel, Miss., moved to Picayune from Hattiesburg fifty years ago. She was a homemaker and an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Willie Clarence Bailey; mother, Annie Mae Potter; step-father, Clarence Potter; sister, Helen Ruth Moore; and brother, Bill Bailey.
She is survived by: her husband, Decator B. Temple of Picayune; two daughters, Linda T. (Mickey) Mize of Hamilton, Miss., and Judy D. Temple of Ellisville, Miss.; son, John D. (Sherry) Temple of Picayune; one sister, Sherrill Negri of Metairie, La.; two brothers, W. B. “Buddy” Bailey of Hattiesburg and Randy Bailey of Sargent, Texas; and two grandchildren, Allison L. Mize of Hamilton, and Dana T. Shoemake of Picayune.
Picayune Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
