Local woman arrested for sale of medication

A Nicholson resident was arrested as a result of an undercover operation where prescription medication was purchased.
The arrest took place on June 26, when deputies with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department conducted an undercover operation.
Deputies contacted Linda Carver, 44, of 29 Old Mills Road in an effort to purchase prescription narcotics, according to the press release from the department. Carver agreed to bring about five Xanax pills to sell to the deputies.
When Carver arrived and sold the Xanax she was taken into custody, the release states.
Carver was charged with sale of a controlled substance and is currently awaiting her initial appearance before a Justice Court judge to have a bond set.
