Runoffs to occur in court districts

Prentiss Harrell and Forest Dantin are the likely opponents in a runoff in Circuit Court District 15 for the seat given up by retiring Judge Michael Eubanks.
Harrell received 12,389 votes, or 33 percent, while Dantin received 9,238, or 25 percent. Pearl River County resident and Asst. District Atty. Manya Creel also racked up 25 percent of the vote, but with a total of 9,096.
In Chancery Court District 10, place 2, incumbent Judge Sebe Dale, with17,278 votes, or 40 percent of the vote, will face Forest Dantin with 21,152 votes, or 48 percent of the vote.
In Chancery Court District 10, place 4, Gene Fair with 15,109, or 35 percent, faces Deborah Gambrell with 14,575, or 34 percent of the vote. Pearl River County resident Aaron Russell received 7,921 votes, or 18 percent of the vote.
