Leetown Man arrested on molestation charge

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department recently arrested 22 year-old Emory James Owens of the Leetown Community on the charge of molestation-touching of a child for lustful purposes.
According to a release from the department, Owens is being held on a $150,000 bond and had his initial appearance on Thursday.
The release did not contain any further details on the case.
“We will not be releasing any details due to some sensitive issues. We can say that the Hancock County office of DHS and Youth Court are working very closely with us on the his case. Also, the Child Advocacy Center in Gulfport has been central to our ability to make this arrest,” said Sheriff Steve Garber in the release.
