Gerald Joseph Darby passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024. 

He was born on Sept. 25, 1937 to parents Henry and Velma Darby. 

He was a proud Navy Veteran, and spent 25 years as a precision machinist for Boeing.

Gerald was married for 43 years to the love of his life, Angeline Darby.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Darby and Velma Thibodeaux Darby; step-daughter, Virginia Kampsen;  brothers, Allen Darby (Patricia Minville Darby) and Morris Darby; sisters, Irene Darby Beaugh and Edna Darby Holliman (Dane).

Gerald’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Angeline Darby; daughter, Karen Philips (Russell), step-daughter, Sheila Meza (Darryl);  step-son, Joseph Scallan (Tracy); brother-in-law, Jean Beaugh,  10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Gerald will take place on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466.

Mass will take place for 12 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 1000 Goodyear Blvd., Picayune, MS 39466.

Burial to Follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
