Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, visitation at 9 a.m., until 11 a.m., at Newton Chapel United Methodist Church, 5 Moore Road, Poplarville, Miss., for Sarah Richardson Travis, age 93, of Poplarville, Miss., who transitioned to be with the Lord, on Nov. 17, 2024.

Mrs. Sarah was a member of Newton Chapel United Methodist Church, she served on various organizations, Mission #2, Usher Board, Choir, Kitchen direction, neighborhood usher, and she served her community wherever needed. She worked for Stennis Space Center for many years.

Survivors include five sons, Louis, Larry, Charles, Michael and Clyde Jr.; four daughters, Augustine, Arlean, Selastine, and Gloria; extended family, Angela Smith, Gregorey Smith, and A’Miya Smith, 36 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren, and 75 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial in Dave Monday Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
