Detectives with the Picayune Police Department’s Special Operations Division have arrested a man in connection with a significant fentanyl trafficking investigation following an extensive inquiry over recent weeks.
On Nov. 12, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on 1215 Stemwood Drive. The search yielded nearly three-quarters of a pound of fentanyl, equivalent to approximately 167,000 lethal doses, as well as cocaine, marijuana, firearms, and a large amount of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Kenneth Davis Franklin was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected. Detectives expressed gratitude to the Mississippi National Guard Counterdrug Task Force for their assistance with the case.
