Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at 11 a.m., visitation from 10 a.m., until 11 a.m., at East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Picayune, Miss., for Mary Ann Johnson Paige, age 74, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Oct. 6, 2024 at Highland Community Hospital. She was a native Of Picayune, Miss.,

Mary was a 1968 graduate of George Washington Carver High School. She was a long standing and active member of East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.  A faithful member of Sunday school, Senior choir, Choir treasure, Pastor Aide, Mission #2, and kitchen committee until her health declined.

She was employed at Picayune Rehabilitation Health Care for 33 years, she retired from the City of Picayune. 

Survivors included one daughter, Kimberly Peyton; two grandsons, Eric (Bria) Peyton and Deontrae Peyton; three sisters, Dorothy Clark, Elizabeth Perkins and Geraldine Littles; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Paige; parents, Balaam and Carrie Johnson; four brothers, Herman Johnson, L.C. Bettis, Clyde Bettis and Fred Johnson; five sisters, Isabell Gray, Louella Jones, Mattie Santee, Ruby Walker and Ruth Armstrong.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 at 5 p.m., until 7 p.m., at Baylous Funeral Home.  Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
