Multiple Drug Arrests Made in Pearl River County

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of several individuals involved in drug activity.
On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, patrol deputies and narcotics investigators were investigating possible drug activity near Silver Run Rd. near Silver Run Crossroads. Suspects Timmothy Campbell (34), Kayleigh Smith (22), and Tyrell Young (41) were identified during the operation. When approached by law enforcement, the suspects attempted to flee on foot into a wooded area. A search of the vehicle they abandoned led to the discovery of a distribution amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Arrest warrants were secured for the suspects based on the evidence recovered. Smith was charged with Hindering Prosecution, Campbell with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and Young with Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. The suspects were later located and arrested.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Eric Gabriel (51) was arrested at his residence on Henleyfield-McNeill Rd. Gabriel had multiple arrest warrants for selling controlled substances in Pearl River County. His arrest followed a year-long investigation during which investigators purchased large quantities of suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substances from him.
