Unofficial results of primary election for City Council 2021

Results from Tuesday’s election show a number of races have been decided, with no need for a runoff later this month.
Going into the general election on June 8, Jim Luke (R) will face Leaverne Guy (D) in the mayoral race, and Precinct 2 incumbent Lynn Bogan Bumpers (I) will face Terrilyn Griffith (D).
Winners from the primary election on Tuesday include Anna Turnage for Councilor Precinct 1; incumbent Jan Miller Stevens for Councilor in Precinct 3; incumbent Larry Breland for Councilor in Precinct 4 and Frank Ford for Councilor in Precinct 5.
