A Celebration of Life for James Michael “Mike” Lee, age 71, of Carriere, MS, a former resident of Slidell, LA, who passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, will be held at a date to be determined.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Slidell, LA, he was a retired truck driver for Airgas Company, and worked at McDonald’s restaurant, off Military and Gause Blvd. in Slidell.

Mike was a member of Ridge Memorial Baptist Church, Slidell, LA, where he was very active and sang in the choir. He also enjoyed writing and singing songs, playing his guitar, fixing broken equipment, tinkering with his lawnmower, and everyone loved his corny jokes. Mike “Pops” was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” Lee and Edwina Alexander and Harold Evon Hale; his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Sandridge Lee; and his loving grandson, Izaiah Iven Mitchell Lee, who was his heart.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tanya Kay Lee and Erik (Jessica) Lee; 2 grandchildren, Seth Lee, and Kaitlynn Lee; his sisters, Nancy Lee and Wanda (Rob) Chamberlin; and his nieces and nephews.
