For about 30 years, Buddy Kaul has been working in the metal building industry.
Now he has brought that experience to the Picayune area by establishing a location along Highway 43 North. Kaul, and Jennifer Croll, operate Metal Buildings and Supplies, located at 3521Highway 43 N.
The business purchased the new location about two years ago, and recently rented a mobile office while a permanent structure is being constructed. Prior to moving his business to Highway 43 N., Kaul operated the business from his home with assistance from his wife, who is still involved.
Customers can have any type of building constructed from the pre-engineered components his business sells, including commercial, residential or storage applications.
Some of the company’s work in the Picayune area includes the new location of Heritage Christian Academy and Uniforms by Bales, Kaul said.
A number of homes in Pearl River County and the surrounding area are also built from his business’ products.
All material used by Metal Buildings and Supplies is American made steel and comes with a warranty, he said.
“Even if you’re just putting up a fence, you’re still getting the best material on the market,” Kaul said.
While Metal Buildings and Supplies provides professional installers, the customer is free to chose their installer if they like and Kaul and his staff will work with that contractor as closely as his own to ensure the customer gets a “forever product.”
And they don’t just build new buildings. Kaul said he and his staff can help owners of existing buildings make upgrades or repairs, such as the work they are doing for Power Dynamics at Picayune’s Industrial Park.
The business employs three people full time and operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or after hours by appointment. Staff can be reached by calling 769-242-2630.
