Funeral Services for Dr.Thomas Mooney Davis, age 84, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 12:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Chris O’Brien will officiate the service.

A native of Hickory, PA, he was a retired Chief Scientist for NAVOC. Tom was an avid golfer and was a member of the Millbrook Country Club. He also loved to fish, and traveled yearly to White Mountain, Alaska salmon fishing. His hobby was woodworking. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mooney; his mother and step father, Dorothy Dryden Davis and Elbert Davis; and his first wife, Irene Matis Davis.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Fay Stalder Davis; his daughter, Linda Davis; his son, Jim Davis and wife Pam; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Catherine Shirk.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Emcompass Health and medical staff at Oschner Northshore, Slidell, LA, for their great care given to Tom during his illness.
