The Rotary Club of Picayune hosted its annual special needs fishing rodeo Tuesday at Paternostro Pond, continuing a tradition that has spanned nearly 30 years.

This year’s event welcomed approximately 80 students with special needs from the Picayune School District. Around 200 participants, including students, family members, volunteers, and community partners, took part in the day’s activities.

The Pearl River County Youth Bass Assassins fishing team prepared all of the fishing poles and assisted students with baiting hooks and casting lines.
