Keep Picayune Beautiful recognized at state awards luncheon

Keep Picayune Beautiful received statewide recognition at the 2025 Keep Mississippi Beautiful Awards Luncheon, held Thursday, with two community members earning honors for their leadership and dedication to local beautification efforts.

Sydney Stubbs, director of Keep Picayune Beautiful, was awarded the Circle of Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership and long-term commitment to environmental improvement and community engagement.

Picayune Memorial High School senior Baylee Albritton placed second in the Youth Individual category. Albritton, who serves as mayor of the Mayor’s Youth Council and holds the title of Miss Pearl River County, was commended for her consistent volunteerism and community leadership. Organizers noted her commitment to events, describing her as “among the first to arrive, the last to leave, and determined to ensure no litter is left behind.”
