A woman died early Sunday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 59, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Authorities said they responded to the scene at approximately 5:45 a.m. on March 3. An initial investigation revealed that 64-year-old Susan Frierson was traveling north in a Chevrolet Silverado when she reportedly ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Patrol officials confirmed Frierson suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, and no further details are available now.
