Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Newton Chapel United Methodist Church, (White Sand Community), 5 Moore Road, Poplarville, Miss. Visitation will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, 2025 one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in the Dave Mondy Cemetery.
It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Mamie Ella Waller (82) on March 29, 2025 at Touro Infirmary LCMC Health in New Orleans, La.
Mamie Waller was a native of Poplarville, Miss. (White Sand) Community, where she was a proud member of Newton Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Usher board until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Waller; her three children, Robert (Pee Wee) Bonner, Kary Michelle Waller, and Emma Waller, and her granddaughter, Crystal Waller.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Evelyn (Dexter) Burnett and Juanita (SL) Waller, both of Picayune, Miss.; one sister, Evelyn Nichols of Lafayette, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
