Two Arrested for Felony Child Abuse, Drug Possession in Pearl River County

Two Poplarville residents were arrested Wednesday following a search warrant executed by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Narcotics Division.
Olivia Grace Dixon, 26, and Randall Wayne “Sonny” Burge Jr., 26, were taken into custody at their residence on Sweet Olive Lane on felony child abuse charges, according to authorities.
During the search, deputies found a distribution amount of methamphetamine in the home. Dixon and Burge were subsequently charged with drug possession in addition to the child abuse charges.
Both suspects were transported to the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility, where they were booked. Authorities have not released additional details about the investigation.
