Pearl River County Narcotics Operation Leads to Multiple Arrests

A coordinated narcotics operation conducted by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 15 and 17 resulted in multiple arrests for drug-related offenses. Deputies from the Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigation Division, and Patrol Division conducted traffic stops and executed a warrant, uncovering controlled substances, firearms, and other violations.

Traffic Stops Yield Arrests

  • Intersection of Hwy 43 and Old Crossroads East: Charles Keith Blalock, 54, was stopped in a white Chevy pickup for a traffic violation. A search revealed a distribution amount of buprenorphine, a controlled substance used to treat opioid addiction. Blalock was charged with possession, intending to distribute, and transported to the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility.
  • Mitchell Chapel Rd. and Hwy 26: Investigators stopped an older blue Ford pickup for a traffic violation. The driver, Tristan Wheat, 28, was found with methamphetamine and a firearm during a frisk. Wheat was charged with possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a gun and cited for careless driving and no insurance.
  • Hwy 26 near the scale house: Dominique Hendershot, 27, was stopped for careless driving. Hendershot, who lacked a valid driver’s license, was found in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and cited for careless driving, no driver’s license, and no insurance.
  • Old Crossroads West and Hwy 43: Deputies stopped a gold SUV for careless driving. The driver, Robert Breland, 42, was found with a trafficking amount of methamphetamine. Breland was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, DUI, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, and possession of paraphernalia.

Arrest Warrant Execution

On Jan. 17, investigators served an arrest warrant at 103 McGeehee St., Lot 5, in Poplarville. Alrobert Reshi Henry, 35, was found in possession of suspected cocaine during a consensual search. Henry was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility.

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its commitment to reducing illegal drug activity in the community and thanked its deputies for their diligent efforts in these operations.
