Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Pastor Wyman Gauldin will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery.

Janet C. Jenkins was born on Dec. 19, 1957 old Janet was born to the late Robert and Lois Jean Jenkins in Picayune, Miss.

 Our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend made her heavenly departure on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 in Hattiesburg, Miss. at the age of 67.

 Sister Janet accepted the lord as her Personal savior at an early age at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of the late the Rev. Fox.

 She attended Picayune Memorial High School. Janet later became a stay-at-home mother. 

She later met the love of her life, Mr. Luther Lindsey. Janet was a strong, outgoing and independent individual. Her favorite past times included playing cards and enjoying bingo games. Janet spent most of her time enjoying herself and spreading love to her family and friends. 

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Jean Jenkins; her granddaughter, Alkiesha Jenkins; her grandson, Jermaine Daggans Jr.; her sister, Secundra Jenkins, and her brother, Carl Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Luther Lindsey; children, Darren Jenkins (Monica); Monica Dixion (Bobby); Patricia Lewis; Nickie McDonald (Enoch); sister, Patricia Brown (Billy); three aunts, Mildred Huderson, Barbra Lewis and Rose-Mary Ceaser; uncle, Willie Huderson; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
