Graves, R-Mo., praised Ezell’s dedication and expertise. “Congressman Ezell is a hard-working and knowledgeable member of the Committee, and I am excited to have him serve as Vice Chairman this Congress,” he said. “Our busy agenda includes improving roads, bridges, water infrastructure, and supporting the Coast Guard.
I look forward to Vice Chairman Ezell’s contributions.”

As Vice Chair of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Ezell will play a key role in drafting primary legislation, including the Water Resources Development Act and reauthorizing federal highway funding. These initiatives directly impact South Mississippi by improving ports, transportation networks, and disaster recovery processes.

Ezell also acknowledged his new role as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries under the House Natural Resources Committee. He highlighted Mississippi’s rich natural resources and economic opportunities as key motivators.

“With 62 miles of scenic shoreline, coastal Mississippi is a vital hub for energy production, aquaculture, and wildlife,” Ezell said. “This role allows me to advocate for streamlining federal regulations and unlocking the full potential of our natural resources, driving economic growth and creating jobs for hardworking families in South Mississippi.”

House Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman, R-Ark., praised Ezell’s leadership. “The issues this committee addresses, such as coastal restoration and energy production, are critical to his constituents and Americans nationwide. I look forward to working with him,” Westerman said.

Ezell’s leadership positions underscore his commitment to advancing policies that enhance infrastructure, foster economic development, and protect natural resources in Mississippi and beyond.
