Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Reports Numerous DUI-Related Arrests

Throughout September, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office (PRCSO) has reported multiple arrests involving drivers suspected of impaired driving, many of whom face additional charges for traffic violations and possession of controlled substances.
On Sept. 4, a PRCSO deputy avoided a head-on collision after observing a vehicle driving in his lane. The driver, William McCoy, 26, was stopped and later arrested for DUI, second offense, as well as an outstanding warrant for simple assault.
In a separate incident the same day, deputies responded to a crash involving Hannah Dupont Ducre, 42, who was unsteady and slurring her words. A search of her vehicle uncovered marijuana and controlled substances. Ducre was charged with DUI first offense, careless driving, and multiple controlled substance violations.
On Sept. 7, Garred Toney, 39, was arrested for DUI, third offense, and careless driving after being observed performing a burnout and driving into oncoming traffic. That same day, Julia Russ, 40, was arrested for DUI, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and careless driving after a disturbance call led deputies to observe signs of intoxication.
Further incidents included Eric Davis, 36, who was arrested for DUI first offense and possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 7, and Tyler Hoda, 23, who was charged with DUI first offense on Sept. 10 after being stopped for reckless driving on a dirt bike.
A range of additional arrests occurred throughout the month:
- On September 11, Christopher Lehmann, 28, was stopped for having a switched license plate and arrested for DUI, a second offense.
- Sept. 12: Robert Lumpkin, 49, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and allegedly stated he had ingested cocaine.
- Sept. 14: Andrea Jackson, 32, was arrested for DUI, first offense, and leaving the scene of an accident following a hit-and-run.
- Sept. 14: Michael Dubuisson, 67, was charged with DUI and failure to remain at the scene of an accident after deputies found his vehicle abandoned in a ditch.
- Sept. 16: Christopher Lumpkin, 52, was charged with DUI, first offense, after being reported for reckless driving.
- Sept. 17: Justin Pearson, 40, was arrested for DUI first offense and controlled substance violations after his vehicle was found in a ditch.
- Sept. 18: Thomas Thompson, 37, was charged with DUI second offense and possession of a controlled substance after being stopped for careless driving.
- Sept. 20: William Ashwell, 41, was arrested for DUI first offense, possession of marijuana, and multiple traffic violations.
- Sept. 26: Dale Armond, 63, was charged with DUI, first offense, after being found asleep behind the wheel in a Dollar General parking lot.
- Sept. 29: Victor Lorenzo, 48, was arrested for DUI, first offense, and driving with a suspended license after his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.21.
