The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a New Orleans woman in connection with the murder of Clint Williams, whose body was discovered in Carriere last month.

Deputies responded to a residence on Oscar Smith Road on Oct. 30 after receiving reports of a body. Upon arrival, they found the remains of Williams, a New Orleans resident, who had died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Sheriff’s investigators worked to establish a timeline of events, determining the approximate date and time of the murder. A detailed analysis of the crime scene and evidence led to the identification of Showanda Carter, also of New Orleans, as the primary suspect.
