Officers from the Picayune Police Department joined deputies from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office this week for a training program on Patrol Pistol and Rifle Techniques. The goal was to strengthen officers’ skills in effectively deploying duty pistols and rifles under high-stress conditions.
Detectives Petree and Neumann led the training, leveraging their extensive firearms expertise to provide hands-on instruction to their fellow officers and deputies. Both detectives have proactively sought advanced training and brought enhanced tactical knowledge back to the department.
The Picayune Police Department plans to continue skill-building sessions in the coming months, focusing on advanced training and further equipping officers for critical incident response.
