As the officers approached, they saw Williams reach into his waistband and discard an object onto an open porch. This action aroused suspicion and provided sufficient grounds for detaining him. When investigators moved to apprehend him, Williams resisted but was subdued after a brief struggle and taken into custody without further complications.

During a search of the porch area, investigators discovered what appeared to be a distribution amount of methamphetamine that Williams had attempted to hide.

Williams faced charges of tampering with evidence, possession with intent to distribute, and assault on an officer. This incident highlights the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office’s continued commitment to combating drug-related offenses in the community.
