Captain Rhonda Johnson Graduates from Certified Investigators Program

Captain Rhonda Johnson of the Picayune Police Department has completed the State of Mississippi Certified Investigators Program, a specialized training course offered through the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer’s Training Academy.
The program, which consists of 320 hours of classroom instruction delivered in separate sessions over eight months, covers a range of topics, including homicide investigations, sexual assault cases, crime scene management, and the investigation of child predators.
Capt. Johnson said she dedicated significant personal time to completing the course, and she is already applying the knowledge and techniques learned to current investigations. “This training has been invaluable in enhancing my ability to serve the community,”
The Picayune Police Department expressed its commitment to continuing the professional development of its officers, with plans to send additional detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division and Special Operations Division to participate in the program.
