Two Arrested in Drug Investigation at Tire Shop

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on Wednesday following a drug investigation at Da Tire Shop on Jackson Landing Road.

Zacherie Jordan, 27, and Phillip Dusset, 62, were taken into custody after narcotics investigators conducted surveillance at the business located at 3357 Jackson Landing Rd. Investigators recognized Jordan, who had an outstanding indictment for trafficking a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.

According to the sheriff’s office, when investigators approached Jordan, they observed him smoking a marijuana cigarette, which he attempted to conceal. Jordan was arrested, and a search revealed a distribution amount of marijuana in his possession.

A consent search of the business was conducted, during which investigators found marijuana and digital scales. Dusset, the shop owner, was reportedly seen attempting to hide evidence.

Jordan was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and tampering with physical evidence. Dusset was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and tampering with physical evidence. Both suspects will face enhanced penalties for being within 1,500 feet of a church.
