Michael Lee Hudspeth, born June 11, 1960, in New Orleans was called home on June 26, 2024 in Picayune, Miss. He was a car enthusiast distinguished by his handy nature, sense of humor, and the boundless love he carried for his family and friends. His ability to fix anything with his hands was legendary within his family and community.
Michael was the loving father to four daughters Amanda (JJ), Elizabeth (Tony), Michelle (Justin), Tiffany (Jeff) but the title of “Pawpaw Rooster” to his 11 grandchildren Tristin, Peyton, Donovan, Christian, Kaylee, Kayden, Ayden, Taylor, Tessa, Casen, and Kimber was his most cherished title.
Michael is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, Shirley (mother), Bill (Margie), Dorothy (Nathan), Alonzo (Ceilin), nieces, nephews, and dear friends who he considered family.
Michael is preceded by his brother Larry and sister Millie.
His departure from this earth is not an end but a transition, as his spirit continues to race through the heavens, leaving behind a trail of cherished moments and a family that will honor him for generations to come. Michael’s journey through life was a beautiful ride, and though he has crossed the finish line, his legacy will continue to lap the track for many years.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on July 6, 2024 at the Salem House, 26008 MS-43 South Picayune MS 39466, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
