Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Allen Hickman will officiate the service.

A native of New Orleans, La., he was a HVAC/R Technician and a member of Resurrection Life Worship Center. Bubba’s love language was to feed everyone. He was an amazing cook who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved his family dearly. He was a hardworking man who loved to talk and therefore he never met a stranger. He loved being outdoors tending his garden and his chickens.

The day he laid eyes on the love of his life occurred when they were both in grade school, she boarded the bus in a beautiful green dress and he was awestruck. He loved her beautiful long red hair and he lost his heart in that moment, even though she did not notice him, but he never gave up and in the end his devotion paid off.

Bubba’s personality helped him fit in wherever he worked. His sons followed in their father’s footsteps, he trained them and helped shape them into the men they are today. His daughters knew he was their hero and larger than life and no matter the time of the day or night all they had to do was call and he would be there for them. To say there will be a void with his passing would be an understatement. He will never be forgotten because of the values he instilled in all of his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Bourgeois Sr. and Mary Ann Guillott Bourgeois; sister, Deborah Bourgeois; brother, David Allen Bourgeois.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 devoted years, Patricia M. DeForest Bourgeois; children, Randy (Amelia) Murray Sr., Misty (Stephen) Huslinger, Charles W. (Jannelle) Bourgeois, III, Bradley (Meagan) Bourgeois, and Mindy (Brett) LaBiche; grandchildren, Ariel Marie Murray, Randy Allen Murray Jr., Zachary James Murray, Kearsten Elizabeth Guffey, Gavin Riley Huslinger, Katelyn Aubrey Huslinger, Alexus Chisum, Braydon Bourgeois, Makenzie Bourgeois, Klayton Carver, Kaitlyn Carver, Kazleigh Grace Bourgeois, Alaina Mae Bourgeois, David Allen Bourgeois, Victoria Hope Bourgeois, Alianna Grace LaBiche, Trent Michael LaBiche, and Lilianna Jane LaBiche; great-grandson, Dawson James Murray; brother, Paul (Elizabeth) Bourgeois.
