Towada Taylor Newkirk, age 54, was born April 26, 1970, to the late Willie and Maggie B. Taylor. Towada was married to Thomas J. Newkirk on Feb. 15, 2003. They were married for 21 years and had seven children; Jatreyllis (“Trey”) McCloud, John Newkirk, Valerie Newkirk, and JaKarei Newkirk; and three children preceded in death; Jayden Newkirk, JaKaiyla Lowe, and Matthew Newkirk.

On Friday, May 10, 2024, Towada Newkirk got her heavenly wings and went to glory to be with her Lord.

Funeral service for Towada Newkirk will be held at the Little Providence Baptist Church, 21150 Highway 43, Picayune, MS, 39466, in the Catahoula Community. The visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.; and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.

The interment will be at the Catahoula Cemetery. The repast will be in the fellowship hall of the Little Providence Baptist Church following the internment.
