Shoplifting Incident Leads to Arrest

On May 14, 2024, patrol officers from the Picayune Police Department swiftly responded to a shoplifting incident reported at the Walmart located at 235 Frontage Road in Picayune, Mississippi.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers identified a suspect who was subsequently located in the parking lot. The individual, identified as Randy William Hall, was found inside his vehicle, adorned with stolen merchandise from the store. However, the situation escalated when Hall resisted arrest, necessitating officers to use force to place him under custody.
During the arrest, it was discovered that Hall had methamphetamine, further complicating the legal situation. Moreover, upon closer inspection, law enforcement officials found firearms in Hall’s possession, which is prohibited while in possession of controlled substances.
Hall is facing multiple charges, including shoplifting, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.
