The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, in collaboration with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), conducted a series of operations resulting in multiple arrests for drug-related offenses.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, authorities assisted MHP in a traffic stop near Hwy 607 and I-59 involving a tow truck. Michael Stevenson (47) and Joanna Holcomb (48) were arrested after a search of the vehicle yielded a felony quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Holcomb was also found in possession of suboxone.

Stevenson faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, while Holcomb has been charged with misdemeanor possession of suboxone.

Continuing their efforts, on Thursday, April 25, Narcotics Investigators conducted a traffic stop of a red Dodge truck on Library Street in McNeill. The occupants, Tyler Smith (36), Alex Wormser (30), and Ashley Speer (31), were arrested after methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

Wormser was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, Smith faced misdemeanor paraphernalia charges along with additional warrants, and Speer was charged with misdemeanor paraphernalia possession.

In a separate incident on the same day, Narcotics Investigators pursued a motorcycle on Albert Prince Road for speeding and reckless driving. The operator, Tyler Clemons (33), evaded authorities and attempted to assault a law enforcement officer before being apprehended later in the evening. Clemons faces charges of felony fleeing and attempted aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, April 26, authorities targeted a wooded area on River Rd—Picayune, MS, where Casey Strange (42) was suspected of selling heroin and fentanyl. Investigators discovered a significant quantity of what is believed to be heroin or fentanyl. Several individuals, including Strange, were identified and charged with conspiracy to possess the substance.

Additionally, on the same day, narcotics investigators attempted to stop a Honda Civic on I-59 northbound. The vehicle attempted to flee, prompting a pursuit during which items were discarded. The occupants, identified as Adam Ladner (46), Joshua Kane McCraney (47), and Destiny Tullos (38), were arrested after a trafficking quantity of methamphetamine was recovered.

All subjects face charges of tampering with evidence and trafficking methamphetamine.
